This was my first shoot event in several years. I was not very nervous after talking with several of the girls from there. They were gracious and patient with me. All of my questions before the shoot were all answered and I was able to be completely prepare for it. Their site info. on what to bring, explanation of pricing, etc. was all very comforting information. It really made me feel like I was going to get my money’s worth and that this was designed around the models. I got there and was immediately greeted and welcomed. In no way did I ever feel unattended to. If I stood in an area for more than a minute or two, someone came to check on me and make sure that I knew where I was going next. The selection of outfits and the MUA/Hairstyling staff was phenomenal! They can really make you look the part and fully get you into the theme of the shoot. Throughout the whole thing I was encouraged, complimented and comforted. The staff of The Muse Project, including the guest model and posing coach treated me immediately like a sister. That alone really made it easier to give my full potential. So, whether you’re a full-time, done it a million times, or a very first-timer, The Muse Project is the perfect company for any girl looking to spread her wings. I’d recommend it to anyone!

I previously attended a networking event called "The Muse Project". It was such an amazing time and had an incredible turnout. The theme for the event focused on 40's / 50's pinup in which I've had no previous experience shooting. Overall, I think the shots turned out GREAT. I was lucky to come across a key location, a men’s locker room with multi-colored lockers that looked pretty vintage in its own way. Another location that I was able to take advantage of was the bar at the golf course. I had the perfect combination on one shot. the perfect model, location, outfit, and hairstyle. That picture turned out to be my favorite once I reviewed all of the images from the day. All of the images turned out to be spectacular. There are so many aspects that go towards putting together a perfect image. The different elements include models, photographers, makeup artists, stylists, hair stylists, and assistants. Without any of those elements my day at The Muse Project could have been a disaster. So I thank all of you that were involved with this project.

I just wanted to say a big "thanks" for putting together yesterdays shoot, it was a great time! I was really impressed with how organized you were and how friendly everyone was, and the models were all wonderful. Seriously, this was one of the best-run events I've attended, I'm just sorry I had to leave as early as I did!I'm looking forward to your next session, I already have March 30th marked on my calendar and will allow myself more time for that one.

The Muse Project has been an eye opening experience for me! As an amateur photographer, I have been welcomed into a network of professionals that are gracious and supportive in their collaborative desire to bring the best out in everyone involved. The event I attended was amazing! From the moment I was greeted at the door, I was made to feel comfortable and included in the process. There is no other environment where a beginner would have access to KCs top hair and makeup artists, models, and professional photographers within a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. This project and its founders have truly set the stage for success - and I can't wait for future opportunities to grow my dreams into reality!

As part of the Muse Project, I have gained an amazing portfolio, numerous and beneficial contacts, and surprisingly great friends. The Muse Project consists of an amazing group of stylists and fellow MUAs that truly know how to achieve each month's theme. The photographers that attend each project are so talented really know how to connect with the models. I have received the most creative and beautiful images for my portfolio. The models that I have worked with and met are true professionals and have been so gracious and a pleasure. With the posing coaches and with our spokes model; Vanessa, the models are given unbelievable support and talent to coordinate with. I am grateful to Toria and CaraSue for giving me the title of head MUA and I plan to always be part of the team that produces amazing results!

This photo shoot is unlike any other. It involves an enormous collaboration between Kansas City's Fashion Industry, brought together under one roof to deliver some of the most couture meets artistic edge photos this area has ever seen. This on going shoot offers a wide variety to anyone's portfolio as well as experience. With it's themed sessions this shoot, nor it's products will ever get dull, to it participants or onlookers.

What a great experience The Muse Project is! Not only did I have the opportunity to meet the most talented and beautiful models, I worked with true professionals in the hair and makeup field. The day was coordinated very well and I felt like a pampered princess throughout. Whisked around getting the opportunity to shoot with extraordinary photographers, each offering something new to my portfolio. I've gotten several pictures back so far and am anxious to see more. I certainly look forward to future Muse Project meetings as the benefits are very rewarding and let's face it...we all deserve a memorable day just for us!

The Muse Project is amazing. When I first arrived I was terrified because i didnt know anyone or what to expect. After starting the shoot and meeting the people it was by far one of the best things I have done. The people are fun to be around the hairstylists and makeup artist are the best and full of smiles and really make you comfortable being around everyone. The photographers are very helpful with poses and helping you get your best shot. Overall it was a great experience and I can not wait to do it again and see my new friends in the modeling world.

Oh my heavens I had such a wonderful time. I am looking through my pictures just in awe of how fun and fabulous they are! What an incredible learning experience! It was so great to see how well all the photographers worked together – sharing backdrops, lights and experience. We all bounced ideas off each other, held reflectors, fanned models, etc. What an incredible team! I go to two to three state or national conventions a year to take classes and learn from other people in the field. I learned more today from the other photographers and the models than I have in the last three years of conventions put togeaher. Thanks for a wonderful experience, and as long as I am available – I will be at your projects in the future!

Whether you are a model, photographer, makeup artist, hair stylist or clothing designer this business is all about networking and generating a buzz about you! That’s exactly what The Muse Project has done for us. We starting shooting weddings a couple of years ago and wanted to start branching out into Fashion/Glamour Photography. We had a rough start, most models would inquire but few returned emails or even showed up. These days I think models have to carefully choose who to shoot with because the market is flooded with photographers and who knows what they are like when you actually show up. So we needed a way to establish our credibility, and generate positive feedback based on not only our portfolio but our interactions with the models as well. The Muse Project has absolutely done that for us! I think my Myspace account went from 10 friends to 100+ in less than a week after our first session. We have had countless inquiries for sessions with models and we couldn’t be more excited! Oh it gets better too! Not only are you doing what you love, but you are doing it beside people who share the same passion. That is more than worth the price of admission. As a photographer I love being able to bounce ideas back and forth between other photographers, we can all learn from each other and this helps everyone grow together. Even if you are an experienced photographer, this is a great way of trying new ideas and staying fresh. With the themes changes from month to month it forces you to study the different types of photography and work new ideas into your everyday shooting. Meeting the makeup artists/hair stylist and incorporating them into our business has not only improved our portfolio but has also improved our professional image. We are so thankful for the opportunities that Toria and CaraSue have given us and you will be too! Don’t miss out!

Toria, Cara Sue, I must tell you how fortunate I feel to be a part of The Muse Project. I've attended two sessions and can't wait for the next one! Let me just say that the MUSE is the best project that these Wonderfull Ladies could have ever done! I love the way its set up, you have tons of options, different hair & mu changes & artist that do amazing work, & great boutiques! Everyone makes you feel like your part of one big family! I was super nervous to attend The Muse Project in the beginning. I was still pretty green and didn't know what I was getting myself into. When I arrived on location, I was greeted by CaraSue and Toria. They were very warm and welcome, and so easy to talk to. I was directed to the hair and makeup team, then onto wardrobe. It was a very streamlined schedule and everyone was working together very well. Not only is everyone punctual, but they're very talented at what they do. I wanted to say thanks and great job for the event on Sunday. Great location and staff, the food and beverages were a very welcome addition to a long day.
